iconography development & execution

Cyvl is an AI-driven software solution for civil engineering that captures high-quality geospatial data, automates asset management, and receives actionable reports faster than similar software. They did a rebrand in 2025 that was an entire brand overhaul, and I designed, developed, and executed on the icons for Cyvl’s rebrand. The icons are detailed, technical line icons with areas of strategic fills to add depth. I have a small interest in urban development and planning so I absolutely jumped at the chance to do something fun for their icon library. Since Cyvl did so much work in civil engineering, I looked at road sign standards and emulated a style structure that felt like a sign in the hexagon shape, BUT, allowed me to design civil architectural features in a 3D space. This allowed me to make sidewalks, curbs, and other pieces of civil structure in an illustrative but easy to read way.

website design

Due to the size and intensity of the new Cyvl site, I executed on asset acquisition, file organization, Figma module editing, module layout, and any other tasks I could help the team out with.

2.5 D, Information Manuals

iconography development & execution

Realtime Robotics is a software that makes industrial robot motion coordination simpler. Their software makes what was historically a difficult, cumbersome, and exhausting chore a breeze using a combination of AI and proprietary tech. It’s fast, easy to use, and above all incredibly accurate. They did a rebrand in 2025. I designed, developed, and executed on the icons for Realtime Robotic’s rebrand. The icons are detailed, technical line icons with areas of strategic fills to add depth. They were designed to be accurate and grounded, taking reference from robotics programs and tools. They’re mostly black and white, using occasional greys to show depth or movement. In all of the icons, I tried to include details such as specific (yet simplified) screenshots from actual robotics programs, to hardware used by robotics maintenance programmers and technicians such as a FANUC A05B-2256-C110#EMH teach pendant.

flexible icon solutions

The Realtime Robotics website has two icon sets: simple and illustrative. Basic icons that are best practice or are simple weren’t included in the illustrative icon pack, which allowed me to spend more time laser-focusing on hyper accuracy.

Minimalist

iconography development & execution

Evolv had an icon library that was just as much a growing, changing, and evolving asset to manage like everything else was for them. I took great joy in managing and maintaining their library and designing new icons for multiple uses and purposes. After the rebrand, more custom icons were needed and a unified approach to their build was taken. Our senior designer, Maggie Sergeff, designed the reband, and the design team (including myself) updated, and executed over 200+ icons! Other designers: Maggie Sergeff, Faythe Stone, Courtney Rode

Early 2000s Pixel Art

iconography development & execution

Companyon’s icon development proved to be a challenge. We wanted a pixel aesthetic, but traditionally pixel art was made in programs that worked exclusively in raster and wouldn’t be appropriate for the brand. I developed a streamlined master pixel grid in illustrator that allowed me to “paint” new icons, cutting the time it took to create new icons by half. The pixel icons were so popular that, in later revisions of the site, stylized stock photography was replaced by pixel illustrations. Charles Lockwood, Creative Director, designed the initial 12 to start the direction of this icon library, and I designed the other 51.
